| Glossary | AICC | The AICC (Aviation Industry Computer-based training Committee) is an international association which groups together professionals in computer-based training. The AICC publishes recommendations for the aviation industry on the development, distribution and evaluation of computer-based training. | Blended learning | The term "blended learning" describes a solution that combines several methods for transmitting training. It is used to describe training which combine different activities including on-site classes, real-time e-learning sessions and independent learning. | CMS | A Content Management System (CMS) allows texts, images, sounds and videos to be recorded in a database to reproduce them on the internet through a public site, an intranet or a portal. | LCMS | A Learning Content Management System (LCMS) is an LMS that includes a lesson creation and storage environment. | LMS | The Learning Management System (LMS) defines the online training management technical platform. | SCORM | The objective of the SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standard is the creation of reusable training content on technical platforms for training by internet. SCORM describes technical standards allowing, in particular, personalisation of training depending on the learner's objectives, preferences and results to be implemented. SCORM is published by ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning), an organisation sponsored by the American government. |
